According to the Association of Equipment Manufacturer’s monthly “Flash Report,” the sale of all tractors in the U.S. in October 2019 were down 4% compared to the same month last year.
For the ten months in 2019, a total of 214,620 tractors were sold which compares to 206,460 sold thru October 2019 representing a 4% increase year to date.
For the month, two-wheel drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) were down 4% from last year, while 40 & under 100 HP were down 5%. Sales of 2-wheel drive 100+ HP were up 2%, while 4-wheel drive tractors were down 3%.
For the ten months, two-wheel drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) are up 5% over last year, while 40 & under 100 HP were even. Sales of 2-wheel drive 100+ HP are up 3%, while 4-wheel drive tractors are up 7%.
Combine sales were up 8% for the month. Sales of combines for the first ten months totaled 4,114 an increase of 3% over the same period in 2018.
